Take Part in the Master’s Happiness in the Work You Do

How would you describe how you feel about the work you do? It’s my hope for you that your answer would be similar to: “I look forward to going to work on a Monday morning with genuine enthusiasm!”; “Most things I think & say about my work are great things!”; “I enjoy what I do so much that, despite what’s going on in my life, I make the time & take the effort to do it and I’m fulfilled at doing it.”; (And, this one seals the deal) “I love what I do so much I’d do it for free or a little of nothing in many situations!” If your response conveys anything stark opposite of all of these, you may be living beneath your Kingdom of God Inheritance when it comes to the work you do!

Over my lifetime, I’ve had many different jobs, in various industries, such as; supermarket cashier, bank teller, wholesale insurance assistant claims adjuster, and IT professional. Though, for a couple of those, I once loved them, none fulfills me like what I do now as a Life Coach. Job and career changes are common among most people, for a plethora of reasons. Often embarking on a search for either increased compensation, greater autonomy, or career advancement. Sometimes, it’s to find relief from a job or career that’s the bane of their existence, all the while unaware that they’re actually searching for purpose.  And, then there are some who remain at one job for several decades. Though at times, not necessarily because they love what they do, but maybe because they’re too apprehensive to pursue what really fuels a fiery fervor within. Perhaps you, beloved, have simply thought it’s more important to be grateful for what you have than to pursue a job or career you enjoy. And, yes, gratefulness is a correct and commendable attitude. But, what if I told you that God wants you to be grateful, AND… enjoy the work you do, too?

Ephesians 2:10 conveys that each of us, including you, are here for a purpose, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.” These good works may not always be related to what we do as a vocation, yet, I believe that under God’s plan for our lives, liking what we do to make a living results from how He created us with strengths and weaknesses, which aligns with our likes and dislikes that come naturally to who we are at our core. As The Lord told Jeremiah, before He formed you in your mother’s womb, He knew you. He knew what He was preparing and equipping you to do once you arrived and thrive forward here. Thus, what allows us to be ourselves is doing that which is most fitting to our unique makeup, sparking joy and fulfillment inside of us. The wisest person who ever existed, King Solomon, stated it best in Ecclesiastes 3:22, “So I perceived there is nothing better than for people to enjoy their work, because that is their reward; for who can show them what the future holds?”

Feeling joyful in your work helps you to stay in the now, not wishing you had something to make you happy from the work of your days behind, nor spending endless waking hours wishing you can have something different in the days ahead. When I was a young girl, my friends and I often bought candy called Now & Later. They came in a package of individually wrapped pieces to make it easy to snack on periodically.  The idea was to eat some of it now, and save some for later.  I liken that to having sweet vocation now, not only to have a sweet one later, but it keeps you looking forward to building upon what you do in your work today because you know it’s building a better tomorrow. For the seed you plant and cultivate today, can bloom beyond what you ever imagine it to be as God gives the increase.

Now yes, additionally, truth is, there are times you may need to take a job of integrity because you have responsibilities to take care of, whether it’s a family and/or bills for possessions and services because what you’d prefer just doesn’t seem to be happening as quickly as you’d like. Thus, positions that are available at that time, may not appear to be ideal to the Divine dream you’ve been given. Does that mean you don’t take it? Not always, and here’s why: Colossians 3:23,24 “Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”  And, because of that, keep in mind that The Lord can still work out that Divine dream through that seemingly unrelated job. Thus, that means you also don’t have to stay there, if you know that’s not where you’re ultimately are supposed to be!

To illustrate my point, first, most of the world wouldn’t relate a position as a Shepherd of Sheep to the likes of being King of a Nation, without having looked into the positions and their duties deeper. Yet, the transferable skills that David gained while a Shepherd of sheep prepared him to guide, provide, nurture, and protect people. Second, the Prophet Samuel anointed David as King soon after King Saul was made King. David, however, had to go through a series of experiences to prepare for that Kingly position, and in the process, among other valuable pieces of wisdom, he learned what kind of King NOT to be as he dodged the antagonistic ways of one that was unbearable to work for. I say all this to say, the position you are currently in, or may need to take, that is unrelated to your dream, is NOT the end! It may be used by God as part of the process to prepare you for what you would rather have! So, even while in it, DON’T give up, but keep on working towards your dream in other ways, willing to be prepared to eventually Go Up in all God has for you!

In doing this, it’ll give you incentive on doing what needs to be done in a way that you don’t bury the talents God gave you under a pile of fear and/or complacency. You can learn to enjoy even the less than ideal job because you’ll begin to understand how The Lord is using it to polish you, to enable you to shine the brightest when you get that ideal position.  Because most importantly, it can ready you for promotion into what you’re Divinely created to do, willing and powerfully equipped to do the work with excellence!  It’s that elevation to the next level The Lord, our Master, will annouce to you, as said in Matthew 25:23; “… ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your Master!’”

I’d love to hear from you!

Try Just 4 Things, Consistently, When It Feels Like God’s Not Hearing You

Through the storms of life.
Through the winds and rains.
Through the confusion and strife.
Through the floods of pain.
Through the stripping away of all that you knew.
You’re left wondering what to do.
It almost feels like it’s more than you can bear.
But know it’s not, because despite, what it looks like,
God is still there.

Like David in Psalms 22:1, you wonder “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” But, I want to encourage you, that despite the chaotic sounds of the happenings around you that can make it quite difficult to hear that still small voice which indicates the presence of The Lord, He is still there. Whether it was a literal storm, the whirlwind battle with illness, a bitter cold fall out with a partner or family member, God is there. According to Psalm 139:7,9 MSG “Is there any place I can go to avoid Your Spirit? to be out of Your sight? If I climb to the sky, You’re there! If I go underground, You’re there!” Beloved, there’s no getting away from Him! You are not alone! God is there!

Yes, you’re tired. Tired of feeling abandoned. Tired of feeling too helpless to do what needs to be done. Tired of being misunderstood. This, however, is the very time to forget and forgive the people who disappointed you, never give up on life, but instead look up to God. So, I’d like to offer you a few tips on looking up to God, a little differently than how you may have been doing so up to now. You may have been crying out to Him, and not hearing Him, but here’s the thing… you haven’t been able to hear Him through the screams of fear, nor see Him through the streams of tears. Yet, God is there. And, once you receive His peace that only He can give, quieting the storms within you, He will L.I.F.T. you up. The first thing you can do is allow yourself to…

Let it All Out

Yes, He already knows everything about you, how you feel, what you think, and the words you will say before they cross your lips. Regardless of Him knowing everything, just let it out. Know that because He knows everything that He already has the comfort, healing, strategies, and solutions you need in your situation. All of the things that He will reveal to you in due time. Express your hurt & pain, the raw vulnerable sensitivities of your heart. Respectfully let Him know what you’re feeling. Tell Him why you think you feel it. Ask Him for what you think you need. Let the pressure that’s building within you out in that safe place with just you and Him. He wants to hear you, so God is there. And, then you’ll be relieved to rest quietly in His presence as you…

Invite Him Near

James 4:8 says, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you…” Beloved, it’s ok to admit to God that you need Him. There’s nothing wrong with asking Him to come near, not just to solve your situation, but to help you to feel His presence. Now, you may be wondering that if He’s really already there, why do you have to ask Him to come near? Because God is like a watchful parent, who watches their children when they aren’t even noticing. The children are off doing their own thing, and have yet to take a break to talk to The Father. Sometimes we can look and see that our parent is at the window looking out at us, but we are either too far or too distracted by the noise of what we are immersed in, to hear what the parent has to say. Drawing closer to Him will help you to experience God’s presence that you know is there, but can’t seem to currently feel.

A time may come when you have no idea what to say to “let it all out.” That’s ok too. For Romans 8:26,27 reminds us that “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” This is a blessed benefit of being in the presence of God. That even when you have no idea what to say, maybe you have no idea why you feel the way you do, the Holy Spirit can stand in the gap for you until you reach a new level of clarity in your heart. He will give you strength and strategy; restoration and resolution; and empowerment for endurance. Ask Him to let you experience His presence, since God is there. It also helps to bless The Lord at all times, including the tough ones, when you…

Fascinate in His Glory

Circumstances good and bad, come and go. They change with the shifting winds. They are up and then down. They are stable and then chaotic. God, on the other hand, is a steady Rock. James 1:17 tells us that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.” The presence of God is a gift that embodies gifts! And, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What this means is that despite the bitterness of our experiences, it’s possible to still praise the sweetness of The Lord; acknowledging Him for who He is, what He’s done, and what He can do. Because what you go through doesn’t and can’t change how wonderful and awesome the keeper of our souls truly is. Seeds are planted to reap a harvest of joy when you proclaim His name to others, but this is also so when no one else is around to give you renown. Thank Him for being with you, because God is there. Because when you truly worship The Lord, it’s never in what have you done for me lately, but it’s simply trusting in Him with sincere acts to…

Trace His Goodness

There’s a popular phrase that says “Trust God when you can’t trace Him.” I would like to give you a shift in perspective, however, that will help you to always trace Him. To trace someone is, not just to follow where they are going, but to also see where they have been. Beloved, God has left an impeccably impressive trail of His good works that He’s done for others! Many in His Word, The Bible, but also in the testimonies of some others around you. Many will be in the past. Some may be recent things God’s doing for others. They can remind you of how good and faithful God is, and not just for them, but for you too! Remember His faithfulness, because God is there.

Whatever it is you are going through. Whatever has you feeling let down. God can L.I.F.T. you up. Let it all out, bearing your heart to Him. Invite Him near and His presence will calm your fears, and incrementally turn your sorrows into Joyful tears. Fascinate in His Glory with praise and worship, because God is good all the time and all the time God is good. And, you will see this as you continually Trace His Goodness. The more you do this, beloved, the more you’ll begin to recognize and experience His hand of favor upon your life, even during trials. The more you will trust Him. The more you will realize that He is true and faithful to His Word where He says in Hebrews 13:5, “…Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Then you will be able to say, as stated in Hebrews 13:6 “…with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid…” Because, you are not alone, beloved! God is there!

May The Father, who loves you more than you can ever imagine, help you to sense His love that is so high and so wide around you. May you embrace within your heart that His love is a love that “… neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate [you] from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38,39) I pray that The Lord gives you His peace that surpasses all understanding, and will guard your heart and mind in Jesus so that you will gain and maintain a mind and heart of Christ no matter the happenings around you, helping you to overcome every challenge in your path. May He LIFT you up in the lightness of His Spirit, inspiring you to say on each new day in which His mercies are new, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalm 23:6)

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Warning! Overwhelming Joy Gained with Just a Few Things!

Joyful ReunionA woman I know, made some decisions in her young years that proved to be regretful. She had two abortions in the span of her 20’s. They were decisions she felt, at the times, were right. After all, they were allowed by the law of the land, yet it wasn’t easy for her to do. Regret hid under layers of achievements, smiles, and outer adornment. Later, it could hide no longer as it hit her even harder when she realized the reality of having made those decisions from God’s perspective. I remember her story well, how one day while going home from an appointment, on a warm sunny summer afternoon. The conviction of her actions hit her like a ton of bricks. Tears covered her face beneath her eyes. Her body began to heave as she sobbed, so much so she had to pull over to maintain control of her vehicle while her uncontrollable weeping to took over.

A man, who got fed up with years of mistreatment and abuse, took matters into his own hands and lost nearly two decades of his life as a result, and now needs to rebuild his life, his relationships, and his confidence.

Someone else made some risky decisions as a stock broker and experienced, what he saw as a catastrophic loss, that caused self-resentment and fear that he’d lose a lot more.

And, your story is…?

Despite what it is, trust, you are not alone. We all have one, maybe more. As a matter of fact, Romans 3:23 states that “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”  And, unfortunately, there’s no running away from the fact that what was done was done; that what was said was said; or that the accident/incident happened. Be it 30 minutes ago, 30 months ago, or 30 years ago, you have carried around a regretful heart full of sorrow that has, in your eyes, grayed out all of your tomorrows, because…

What do you do when something you’ve done can’t be undone?

What do you do when something has gone wrong and it can no longer be made right?

What do you do when something was said knowing words can never be unsaid?

There’s a few things you can do. They will begin to position you to receive, as Isaiah 61:3 says, all The Lord promised to His children, which is to “…provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”  It all starts as you…

Embrace Everlasting Love

Understand that no matter how bad you think it was, God loves you with an everlasting love. A love He will never take away from you. Though it has seemed to elude you, joy is still in reach for you. It sits at your step waiting for you to take it in. This gift has engraved on it something for you to remind yourself of daily in saying, Psalm 27:13 “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Because He wants you to share in His happiness. Isaiah 30:18 ERV states that “…the Lord is waiting to show his mercy to you. He wants to rise and comfort you. The Lord is the God who does the right thing, so he will bless everyone who waits for his help.”

You can embrace His love by spending time with Him, and embodying all the good things He says about you. And, emboldening yourself with how He chooses to shape, mold, and grow you. It’s important, however, to not be timid in approaching the Throne of Grace because of regrets of past deeds. One thing that helps with releasing the uneasiness to pray is to know that…

Conviction Does Not Equal Condemnation

You see, all too often, many of us can’t forgive ourselves for past failues that we’ve already asked God’s forgiveness for and yet have not continued to make. It’s because we fall into the trap of ungodly condemnation. Feelings of regret from past actions, despite how long ago, can come from two places, Holy Spirit conviction, or condemnation, sometimes interchanged with judgment, which sources from either the Holy Spirit, a misconstrued perspective of what’s right and wrong, or from demonic influences. Understanding the difference will help you to better discern where and why guilt arises, even if you’ve already confessed and repented according to the Will of The Lord. And, it will give you a gage to evaluate what you can use to allow  yourself to grow and what you can ignore and throw away.

Regarding Conviction, as John 16:8 ESV reminds us, the Holy Spirit comes to “…convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment”. And, this is, of course, in addition to all the other wonderful things that He comes to do for us with His comfort, defense, and power. To convict, according to the Biblical Greek meaning is to reprove, rebuke (which are both akin to reprimand) and to admonish (which is to warn) in regards to a person having done, or the propensity to do, something wrong. Revelation 3:19 MSG says “The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!” I absolutely love that it says …so that they’ll live at their best! Yes, as with a natural parent, He may have chided you, but He does so out of love because He wants you to be your best self; to come into all He’s made you to be. That chiding causes, what I call “good” guilt. The kind that makes you aware that what you’re about to do, or what was done or said, is wrong. That is very helpful, for example, when we have a thorn in our sides that we struggle with but don’t want to keep falling into. So, the Holy Spirit will sometimes send a word of conviction as a warning to give you a chance to decide to take the way out of what tempts you. Or, to give you a chance to confess and change towards more favorable actions.

On the other hand, Condemnation/Judgment is a final decision, a judgment, about a person based on what that person has been perceived as doing. God condemns or judge those who have deliberately decided to live in sin, despite knowing or having heard about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet rejects Him. Thus, trampling the Son of God under their feet as said according to Hebrews 10:29. But, if there is anyone you know who has taken this stance, don’t give up on them. Encourage them not to give up on seeing and living life God’s way. There’s still time for better decisions to be made. For 2 Peter 3:9 NIV, says that “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” This is part of His Gift of Grace that is available. The only thing needed is to ask and receive. Below, towards the end of the post, is a prayer that can lead you to that opportunity. Please share or retweet this article to give the Gift of God’s Grace to whoever needs it. God will certainly bless you for it!

The devil, however, who comes to kill your faith, steal your joy, and destroy your destiny will use condemnation as one of his tactics in attempts to complete those very assignments. An example we can clearly see where the enemy tried to do this is in Jesus’ trial and condemnation to be crucified. The enemy led people to wrongly condemn Jesus, but Jesus was not “convicted” in His Spirit by His Spirit as doing anything wrong because He had done nothing wrong. It is here where many of us get stuck in not forgiving ourselves because the enemy will wrongly cause you to feel condemned for either what you never did or what you already repented for and don’t do. Unfortunately, sometimes our own understanding of what is okay and not okay with God can play a part in the enemy’s making us regret things we should not feel guilty about. For instance, we sometimes feel guilty about what other people actually did wrong to us. It’s a form of false and misplaced guilt. This happens because we begin to believe his lies instead of believing the truths of God.

Hopefully, this has given you a clearer perspective on conviction versus condemnation, and helps you to accept that…

You Deserve Forgiveness, Even Your Own

Past memories have relentless ways of keeping the past in our present that causes us to judge ourselves out of our future. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate who stands for us and stands with us helping us to remember what Jesus taught us about His forgiveness and the freedom it has granted us. As we are reminded in Romans 8:1,4 ESV, that “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus… in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” So, when you begin to hear the nagging accusations remember that despite what you may think, you are worthy of forgiveness. Zechariah 3:1,3,4 shows us that what God thinks, is superior over what anyone else thinks in telling us that “The angel showed me Joshua the high priest, standing in front of the angel of the Lord and Satan was standing by Joshua’s right side. Satan was there to accuse Joshua of doing wrong. Joshua was wearing a dirty robe as he stood in front of the angel. Then the angel said to the other angels standing near him, ‘Take those dirty clothes off Joshua.’ Then the angel spoke to Joshua. He said, ‘Now, I have taken away your guilt, and I am giving you a new change of clothes.’”

Joshua didn’t fight the angels of The Lord, saying he doesn’t deserve to be happy. He didn’t look at the blessing in front of him and question “Why would God do this for me after all the wrong I’ve done?” He didn’t say, “No! Don’t put new clothes on me! I’m only going to dirty them again!” He simply received the Gift of Grace. He humbly accepted a new chance to do things differently. Despite what you’ve done, you can do things differently because…

Mistakes Allow for Better Remakes

Mistakes don’t make you stupid, they can make you smarter and stronger, if you let them. The woman in the opening story, as mentioned, originally thought she had made the right decisions, only to later find they weren’t right in God’s eyes. As she went further along in her story, her encounter with God proved to be a comforting one. Comforting in God’s unlimited understanding of the reasons behind, while not condoning, her actions at the time. In addition, The Lord began helping her to understand ways to make wiser decisions later. She knows now what she did not know then. And that makes her smarter and stronger. This understanding and guidance is available to you too. You may not be able to use it to correct what happened, but consider these:

  • Let God use you
In having taken responsibility for your part in the mishap, how can what you learned to do or not to do help keep someone else from making the same missteps?
  • Let It Transform You
What options, in line with the Will of God, are available to you to consistently do differently this time, to prevent what happened before?

You are not still here to allow your life to sink into the abyss of where the past lives. God’s giving you new mercies every morning to begin to restore and revive your life. It’s as close as you deciding to…

Claim Your Gift of Grace

You have mourned your mistake(s) long enough. According to Ecclesiastes 3:4, There’s “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;” As you read this message, know that your time to weep and mourn has reached its pivot point to now begin to become a time for you to laugh and dance. And, Psalm 126:6 “Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” Believe, beloved of God, the tears you’ve sown, in the Mighty Hands of God, can start to bring forth a harvest of joy!

It’s yours to take, beloved.

Will you take it? Allowing yourself to, first, embrace everlasting love from The Father. Second, build yourself by using the understanding the differences between Holy Spirit conviction and demonic condemnation to evaluate what to pay attention to and what to ignore. Third, believe that you deserve God’s forgiveness, as well as your own. Fourth, reconstruct your life, adding meaning by allowing God to transform your mistakes to remake them into something beautiful. And, fifth, LIVE, beloved! LIVE! By accepting the Gift of Grace, the Indescribable Gift that Jesus came and was crucified to provide. To do so, please pray the prayer in the included photo below.

Receive the Indescribable Gift of Grace

Father, thank You for the Gift of Grace that’s available because Your Son has Risen from the darkest depths of death to provide abundant everlasting life.

In this time of Your favor, I want to take this indescribable gift, and so, I confess from my heart with my mouth that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the One and Only True and Living God.  Jesus is Christ, The Messiah.  I believe with my heart that He died on the Cross for my sins, and was raised to life to raise life in me.  Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, live in me, help me to live in You and for You.  I hand the reigns of my life to You, Jesus, making You my Lord and Savior.  I repent of my sins, and so choose to turn away from all of that which displeases & grieves Your Holy Spirit.  Please forgive me for my sins.  And, help me when and wherever I am weak-willed, or strong in self-will, in thought or deed, to remain on the Way of Everlasting.

I bless You, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, for who You are and all that You are. Thank You for the healing, wholeness, and restoration, in my soul, spirit, and body that my becoming a New Creation in Christ, as a Child of God, will bring.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus.

(Pod)Casting Potential – 3 Core Ways Towards Guaranteed Success

In episode 10 of (Pod)Casting Potential, find out three core ways to move towards guaranteed success that is only a part of…

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV

…and begin to:

Bring Your God-Given Dreams to Pass Despite Opposition

keep my dreamAs one facing similar experiences as you, when it comes to opposition, I was reminded just recently that opposition is not a time to be sad. It’s not a time to give up. Nor, does it indicate that God has changed His mind about what He has told you to do or what He has created you to do. Everything you do for God will draw all kinds of antagonisms, resistance, and opposition. Some, surprisingly from many whom you would have never expected them to come from. And, at times, you probably wonder, what do I do when I feel like I can’t win?  What do I do when I feel like the enemy keeps saying to me “I’m going to stop your dream… from. ever. coming. true.”?

  • First, remember the devil is a liar! And, be encouraged to live out your Divine right to Dream BIG, Think BIG, Believe BIG, AND… Win BIG because you serve a BIG God who never asks you to do anything for Him that you could do without Him. So, He doesn’t expect you to do it without His help. Like He did with Balaam, He will cause your enemies to Bless you instead of curse you!
  • Second, stay connected to the only connection you need foundationally, “God” Himself! When Nehemiah took on the challenge of rebuilding what the enemy had destroyed, people in high places attempted to stand in his way. What did he do? He did not give up. He did not hide. He did not hesitate. He PRAYED! And, as he moved forward, he trusted The Lord to remove any opposition, and implemented the steps in bringing the dream God had given him to pass.  Brother/Sister in Christ, we must stay prayed up! Prayer is the connection to the power you need to overcome the world as Jesus overcame the world.
  • Third, wear the Full Armor of God that you’ve been given as you use the weapons that are not carnal to do your part. And, then rest in God by letting Him do the rest.  You can start with the prayer below that wields the Sword of the Spirit:

“Lord, I can’t stop opposition from succeeding against me, without Your help. I will continue to stand strong in faith, covered by the Blood of Jesus & wearing the full Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20). I will continue to use the mighty weapons that are not carnal (2 Corinthians 10:4,5) that You’ve given me & leave the rest of what I cannot do up to You; for You, Oh God are Faithful to do it.

I decree & declare no weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).  And, as the enemy, his demons, & his workers of iniquity set traps for me, I decree & declare, they will fall into their own snares themselves. Nothing can thwart the plans of God. (Job 42:2)

Father God, no matter what comes against me, enable me to let love and faithfulness never leave me. May I wear them proudly as a necklace, and have them effectively ingrained in my heart. Provide me Your increased power & favor with both You & people. (Proverbs 3:3,4) Cause me to triumph over every Tobiah & Sanballat spirit (Nehemiah 4:1-8).  Make every Balaam spirit bless me (Numbers chapters 22-24).  And, cause every Judas spirit to hang itself in the spirit (Matthew 27:1-5); only the spirit, Lord, not the people, for I seek people’s deliverance not their demise.

Lord, only You see & know the hearts of people, unless they are truly & permanently repentant with contrite hearts, lift up all that covers wicked acts, expose to the world the ugly truth of who they, those who have rejected You, Jesus, truly are and have been all along, so that no Child of God shall be oppressed, suppressed, deceived, or manipulated.  And, tho I pray every plan, assignment, & task of the enemy fails, cause anything You choose to allow to expediently propel me, ready, willing, & powerfully able, into my God-given dreams of promises, destiny, & purpose.

In Jesus Name.  Amen.”

Keep praying, Child of God! (P)ray (U)ntil (S)omething (H)appens… PUSH through that opposition because God has given you all you need to breakthrough it with Grace! And, soon you’ll see the days when your God-given dreams of promises begin to collide with reality!

Translate Trouble into Treasure – Class 101

storm and rainbow436x245I just moved to another state, and noticed that my new apartment number is 101. When I looked at the number the first few times I’d enter the apartment, it kept jumping out at me. And, I repeatedly thought, this represents a class, an introductory class, to learn something new. And, I thought to myself, respectfully, “Ok God, now what?” The Father is always teaching us, molding us, and transforming us into all He’s created us to be. Unfortunately, that process rarely comes from GOOD times! Yet, so often we wait, wish, and wonder, “when is the bell going to ring, because these types of classes always give me TROUBLE!” To be totally transparent, I moved due to a stirring of trouble, just as a school of fish are forced to migrate from one area of the ocean to another at the first sign of troubled waters. Yet, always in season; always with sufficient provision on the other side; always with Divine protection to survive the journey to, and the habitation in, the destination. Trouble can be transportation that’s bound for an upward trajectory. But, here’s the thing, we must attend class, and pass the test to get promoted. Can I get an “A”… for Amen?!

Ponder, for a bit however, how can you handle something that never surfaces? Arising issues reveal what could make matters worse if never uncovered. It could make matters worse when it’s purposely covered up. It could infect the best parts of us unless it rises to the top and we skim it off, exposing the best of us without taint. This is necessary, especially, when in the place of destiny you’re bound to experience something similar. Especially, when in the place of destiny you’ll surely stumble & maybe fall if you aren’t prepared to handle that situation on a higher level. Especially, when in the place of destiny where, before arriving, you need to be loosed of what fastens you to the current level, so you can soar to the next.

That’s the wonder of what trouble can do for us, but consider what it could do for others who don’t yet have the connection to God as you have, enabling you to get through to the other side of victory. Someone I met, a man extremely anointed, but had no sense of calling, no sense of purpose, no sense of passion, all because of his thinking God was out to torture or punish him. He allowed the troubles he experienced over his life to translate into tragedy instead of seeking God and allowing Him to use the trouble in the man’s life to turn it all into triumph for both himself and others. It explains to us in 2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭KJV that “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”‬‬ If you’re too angry with God for your troubles, how can you be comforted by him? If you’re too focused on the pain in your own life, how can you see past it to see its purpose? If you allow yourself to be bogged down by the bad, how can you ever hear past the rants of your broken heart to listen to how God will bring it all together for the good?

Young Joseph who was handed over to those that would misuse and abuse him by those he should have been able to trust. Betrayed by his own blood relatives. Disappointed by those who one minute claimed they loved him but were operating out of their own emptiness and pain at the same time; emptiness that lingered because they didn’t allow God to translate their troubles into treasure. The same Joseph who after working tirelessly in a job he was forced to take and stay in due to uncontrollable circumstances, was also imprisoned by way of false accusation. Wherein then, even then, he helped someone with his dreams though once achieved, the man forgot about him and left him stranded. All of this, not allowed for Joseph’s demise but used to empower him to arise, not only for himself, but for the people he eventually saved after God prepared him in the midst of trouble, propelling him unto promotion. Beloved, according to Genesis 50:20 MSG, you can remind yourself that no matter that the enemy “…planned evil against me… God used those same plans for my good… for many people.”

It’s easy to be tempted to think trouble turns us into trash, but understand that being in an unwanted fix doesn’t always mean you’ve lost unmerited favor. On the contrary, it could very well be an opportunity to accept the call of being chosen! Chosen to be Trusted, Transformed, Trained, and place back on Track, which are the modules taught in each class of trouble.

Module 1: Trusted with Trouble
As you go through your “go-through”, God wants to know He can trust you. This may sound a bit strange, but here’s the thing, Jesus tells us in John 16:33 “I have told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have troubles. But be brave! I have defeated the world!” Can He trust that you will trust Him? Trust that you will keep your integrity as you have faith that He’ll pull through for you by providing a breakthrough! He wants to trust that you will seek Him to fill in whatever it is you feel you lack. Mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, He wants to see you be thankful “in” all circumstances, though not necessarily “for” them. But, Grateful because He’s got you, in ways that are so unconventional you can’t see it! Grateful because He’s present! Grateful because He understands! This is a pre-requisite to letting Him transform you in module 2.

Module 2: Transformed by Trouble
Too often, though God sees the best in us, we rarely see it in ourselves. You are more than what you are right now! Trouble is the darkroom you’re being developed in, so the negatives are only temporary!  It is the soil you’ve been planted in, so the darkness will be scattered as you break into the light. It is the cocoon you’re being transformed in, so what used to be will be no more, but you’ll be equipped and ready to soar.  In a sense, it helps you capture the blossom of your wings!  It exposes what you really believe by how you react: What you believe about you & your abilities; exposing the resourcefulness planted in you by the Source. Caterpillar… did you know you can fly? Revealed are the things that you believe about what you thought God is supposed to do in your life; often something so much less than what God actually has planned. Will you allow Him to tell you more? They correct what you believe about others in your life; you know… the people you now realize are, or are not, ride or die inner circle worthy people. Troubles give you a chance to see who God really is. That He is more than an arbitrary spirit in the sky, more than the universe. It does this by opening a way for Him to show up and show out in His greatness. For if the issues never surface and we could handle everything, we leave no room for God to step in and be the Mighty God He is!

I discovered my call in the midst of trouble. In tears, in sorrows, God revealed to me bits and pieces of my tomorrows. The fact that He was calling me to do something I’ve never done frightened me. And, I remember calling my dear and anointed Bible study teacher, at the time, and asked her frantically what should I do. She said don’t worry, the Spirit will train you!  I had no idea what she meant! But, indeed, in addition to natural training, taking courses and programs, the Almighty & Awesome Lord will use what was meant to break you to build you up! So, at times, you will also need to complete…

Module 3: Trained by Trouble: Now for Later
I may be aging myself, but when I was a kid, I remember this candy that was called Now or Later. It was a taffy candy that was marketed on the fact that it could gratify the needs you have now, but if you wanted to save some for later, it would still be edible and just as sweet. Trouble can be thought of in the same light. It doesn’t have to be completely a bitter experience now, but one where you can let it prepare you for later stages of His plan for you! And, that’s sweet! But, it’ll be difficult to make that shift if we keep focusing too much on the problems. If you are aware of your purpose & heart’s desires that are aligned with God’s Will, ask yourself & pray to Him to show you the sweet in the Now that will prepare you for all you need to do to produce sweet for Later.

Find the Sweet in the now: Where am I going? And, how does experiencing this now help me to prepare for where I’m going later?

Find the Sweet in the Now: What potential exists for growth, or enables me to take initiative, instead of looking at the pain?

Find the Sweet in the Now: What opportunities exist in this situation in spite of the opposition, even if the opportunities are not related to your current path? Because God can use these troubles to put you back, or keep you, on track!

Module 4: Re-Tracked by Trouble
What if I don’t know my purpose? Can I still pass the test and get a promotion? Is the problem still any good? Absolutely it is! God can use the same trouble that derailed you to put you right back on track! Because now you know that the pain you experience can form your purpose, in that it presents to you your “why”. Your purpose is never first tied to the “who” will help you, the “how” you will do it, nor the “what” will you do, but instead first connected to your understanding of “why” you want to do it, which in God’s plan for you is always for good works that shows honor and love for others. When you’re guided by Divine direction to find the answers to the following questions, you will have found your “why”.

Right Track me, Lord: What pain have I experienced that I want to spare others from going through?

Right Track me, Lord: Where do problems exist, in the relationship, workforce, social system, etc. that caused me to go through certain troubles that I may want to help solve or prevent?

Right Track me, Lord: How can I begin to learn ways that ignite my imagination and initiate implementation to bring these changes to impactful fruition?

Get your hopes up, beloved Child of God. The sun shines after the clouds. The rainbow adds color to the world after the rain. Troubles don’t last always, as we’re promised in 2 Corinthians 4:17,18 MSG, “These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye…” Find out what that more is at each stage, and make it a point to translate your troubles into treasure. Because you are Chosen to be Trusted with Trouble, Transformed by it, Trained by it, and placed on Track towards destiny by it! Declare over yourself “I will not be defeated!” And, I declare and decree over you that you will Ace the class!
