Where God is in Waiting For What You Need, Getting Something Different, and Desired Change Seems Non-Existent

Day by day, there’s anticipation. Anticipation, at times, can be exciting, worth not knowing what’s coming when the other side of anticipation has a sweet aroma of gladness to what we feel is going to happen next that’s pleasant. In these times, though, anticipation has reeked with anxiety due to uncertainty of what’s going, or not going, to happen in regards to all the unpleasantness around us.

Then, it’s gotten even more difficult, in that normally, we could do something about some of it, but now we cannot do. We could go and momentarily forget certain events we’d rather not think about, whether they’re in our home or out in our communities. We could take on another job or two, if the one we had didn’t pan out or pay enough. Or, we could simply get a sincere and much needed hug from a loved one. But, now, for the sake of not making bad matters worse we must make some rightful sacrifices, such as; staying at home, taking a pay cut for those of us who cannot work, and unfortunately bare the walls of separation to keep from spreading degradation, until this is under greater control or is completely over.

What I want to encourage you, as you read this, is that though it feels like you’ve lost a lot, there’s plenty you are gaining, and can gain. Acknowledging this, and choosing to receive it, puts you in a winning position. For, life is never 100% without struggle, without disappointment, nor without loses, but it never has to be, in any capacity without some percentage of beneficial increase. For, this Beloved of God, is how The Lord turns what was meant for your harm around for the good! It’s a matter of…

Enduring the Wait for What You Need

Like said in Kirk Franklin’s song “Looking Out For Me”, know that The Lord Jesus is looking out for you! The two verses I especially love in this song is:

“And then I tried you and just

When I was about to fall

Your love caught me when your name I called

Jesus You keep on looking out for me

Remember when the doctor said

He said he couldn’t help you and

Remember when the money was getting low

You’re hurting now your feeling low and just

When you thought the night would never end

The sun came out now you can smile again

Jesus you keep on looking out for me”

These are fitting words for such a time as this, when your fears are telling you that sickness is stronger that you and smarter than your doctors; telling you the economy of the world doesn’t like your kind; telling you there’s no hope, no future. They embody the Goodness of Jesus who comes and tells those fears to disapear, because per John 8:44; “…the devil… is a liar and father of lies!” And, Beloved, “unhealthy fear” is the devil’s greatest and most used tool.

Truth is, God is not simply an arbitrary Master Spirit in the sky as I once thought of Him as many years ago. He’s active through His Spirit, His Holy Angels, and Devoted & Obedient Human Servants, in ways that greatly and positively impacts the tangible world. He hasn’t forgotten about you, and so I encourage you not to forget about Him but include Him in your daily life. It’s then when you’ll begin to see, that as you do everything you “can” do with Integrity, whatever it is that you, your doctors, family, friends & colleagues, cannot do, He will make that happen. Because, Truth is, we all as Human Beings have limitations, limitations that simply cannot meet some aspects of what you need. In doing this, you increase in resourcefulness, in tapping into everything available to you in the natural realm: your community, your state, your country, etc., while at the same time, tapping into a Powerful Resource that’s like NO other when the Holy God is your Principal Source!

Beloved, a common fear the enemy uses against you is that “no one will help you”. Once again, the devil is a liar. First and foremost, as Psalm 121:1,2 says; “…From where does my help come? My help comes from The LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Secondly, there are people, not that you should look to them ONLY, who are the right people for you. People that are of Kindred Spirit, like-minded, and like-hearted. People who sincerely want you to Win at all that’s your Divine Right to achieve, that God has intentionally placed in strategic positions to help His people. And, any who chooses Faith in The Lord, instead of fear of others, will not succumb to threats of punishment for “Right” doing, will lend you a helping hand in whatever capacity God has planned, in due time. So, though distanced due to circumstances, know you are not alone! While you wait by keeping busy doing your part, letting, and relying on, God do His, see the benefit in…

Getting What You Never Thought You Needed

During situations you seemingly have no control over, when you need to take a job, for example, that you thought you’d never need to take; or, you ended up doing something, though upright, you still would’ve never willingly chosen to do, if you had known the details beforehand, know that The Lord has a reason for you to be there in this season.

This happened to me twice, that I’m aware of, over the last three years. Here, I’ll just share one, wherein in my company Cornerstone Solid Hope, I originally started out providing Relationship Enhancement Coaching, one of three of my areas of expertise, but ended up on one assignment that had me involved in “Business” Relationship Coaching, which was something I never really thought of doing, and wasn’t offering until I took an assignment where it was sprung on me in its interim. And, what I realized soon thereafter was how The Lord purposed it to prepare me for a larger assignment within His calling for me that I had known about for several months, but wasn’t quite sure of all it entailed, yet. As God does this, He’s giving you Provision for the Divine Vision!

The Lord did this with Moses, as he was in the wilderness for quite some time, where he had to be “prepared” to be Shepherd of The Lord’s flock, before he was sent on to his work for God. Knowing where Mose grew up, you’d think this was an undesirable downgrade, but it was a path to be Upgraded! So was Jesus in His wilderness just before He embarked on His Ministry, where He had to be “prepared” for the challenges of the opposer of His call to ensure He carries it out successfully by understanding and appropriately handling what He was up against. And, so did Joseph go through his wilderness as he was betrayed by those he should’ve been able to trust the most, yet, it didn’t break him, it didn’t ruin him, it built him up to be one of a nation’s most dependable leaders! Whatever the wilderness is for you, that place you would’ve never gone, that thing you would’ve never chosen, but was thrusted upon you, it’s preparing you for what you’re going to do!

So, don’t look down on yourself if you had to choose to take on tasks or experiences, whether professional or personal, that you never thought you’d need to take on, because it could very well be providing you with something you Need, aside from money, that you never even knew you needed!

There’s Change in Seemingly No Change

“When will this CHANGE! I can’t take this anymore!” The devil, that’s putting that in your head, is a liar! Philippians 4:13 says; “I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me!” And, it is my prayer for you that you begin to regularly Agree with it, Embody it, & over yourself Speak it! As you do, the strength you think you don’t have to press onward will rise up and surprise you when you find yourself saying I could only get through it with the presence of God in my life.

Next, think of change like an onion. There’s different layers of areas where change for the best can happen. Also, like an onion, the change process may have you in tears, but it can at times be tears of Gratefulness, not always having to be from tears of sorrows or fears. What doesn’t look like it’s changing in your outward circumstances, creates a domino affect that initiates changes in deeper layers of your being, in deeper layers of your life. It’s up to you to decide to make sure the changes that are happening, when the ones you want aren’t yet happening, help you grow better and not bitter. It’s helps to know that everything, beloved, works together for the good for those who love The Lord. He will not let you fall.

When nothing seems like it’s moving, Beloved, The Lord doesn’t stand still. God is on the move! Doing things behind the scenes that you cannot yet detect. And, this can increase Patience in you, if you let it. Waiting for Divine Timing isn’t always easy, but it’s best to not run before it, so not to make bad matters worse. Don’t let Microwave Mentality inappropriately and insufficiently cook your sustenance, when it needs to be slow cooked for good reasons! For, soon you’ll see the change you can’t yet see!

This, Beloved, is what can help with worry and anxiety; knowing that when you can’t see a way God will make a way out of no way, especially when He wants it done His way. Here’s where you do what you can within reasonable boundaries, and let God do what you can’t. Resourcefulness, Resiliency, and eventually Restoration, along with peacefulness and gratefulness, can and will be yours. It’s just a matter of using what you already have at hand, with God in the mix; shifting your perspective off the problem and on to the promise; and remembering that you may not be able to see the change of a seed newly planted for quite some time, but during that time change is happening! And, you will soon Bloom right where you’re planted!

Ask LuKeisha Question: After All You’ve Been Through, Why Do You Still Have Faith in God?

When the time is right, I’ll share some of my experiences, that at least two people, who asked me this same question we’re referring to. For now, as I thought about how I would phrase my answer, I smiled, shaking my head, looking down for a few seconds, as one of my opposers, trying to answer this question for me, said: “because I’m stubborn.” Truly, I tell you, that’s far from the Truth. Although, I believe myself as Steadfast in Faith, instead.

Many think that faith is blind belief, or something that one can “fake it til you make it”. And, in the beginning, it can seem that way because an adult new to the Christian faith has no, or very little, schema built from past experiences that can point to experiencing the Goodness of God. Before I recommitted my life to Christ, I blindly believed there was a God, and went through my life considering Him simply an arbitrary spirit in the sky that periodically looked down on us, like an owner of an ant farm, to ensure we were surviving in our habitat. But, it’s through the tough experiences, as I sought Him out, that I began to find Him. And, in finding Him, I learned that He is exponentially so much more than I thought.

What I realized too, is there are differing levels of faith. Which at lower levels of faith, where there’s a lack of knowledge of God and His ways, can create openings where the very dark trials sent against a person can seep in to destroy their faith, or prevent it from deepening. As one who seeks to bring others to the faith of Christ, I have noticed that there are many who lost faith in God, or never developed a belief in Him “DUE” to unpleasant circumstances they went through in their lives. Here is where I’d like to encourage, those of you who this has happened to early in your life, or perhaps you’re going through something right now that seems to be weakening your faith in Him, to try not to give up on God for disappointments you’ve experienced. Because, it’s in looking at those experiences through the Eyes of God that you can begin to see elements of your experiences that give you a more whole picture of what’s happening, and keep you sustained in peace that surpasses all understanding, strength, and protection, as you progress through it.

In my situations, some witnessed what challenged me, and perceived, for example, three limiting circumstances that lingered, as God letting me down. But, what they didn’t see were the 100 situations where He consistently came through mightily. But, to keep it succinct, the next few reasons my faith in The Lord has stayed strong, starts with understanding that…

God Allows Struggles for Good Reasons

Hardships don’t mean God doesn’t exist. Just as dark forces send hardships to break us, God uses them to build us; to build our knowledge of Him, ourselves in terms of our individual identity in Him, gifts & callings, and to build our character. Consider the story of Young David (see 1 Samuel in the Holy Bible) before He became King. What came against him through King Saul was to keep him from answering the call on his life to become King. Yet, The Lord used the very same circumstances to help Young David build trust in Him, by showing him his provision and preservation. With this knowledge of God, having seen God’s presence and His practices, when we rise to the top, as King David eventually did, we can be Anchored in Adonai, knowing that some of the biggest challenges that can come at us is when we are at the top. But, when the same God that was with us in the valley is there to help us overcome new devils that come at each higher level, we can begin to soar, and most of all be sustained there.

Now, those of you who have had terrible experiences as children, there are reasons for those struggle too. But, unfortunately, this is not a suitable outlet to address such sensitive topics. If you’d like to discuss privately, please book your Complimentary “Free to Discover Me” Spiritual Enrichment Coaching session. If it’s a topic you don’t mind discussing amongst others with similar experiences, contact me at:https://CSHLoveLife.com/Contact, and I will arrange a group coaching session around this topic. In the meantime, it helps to trust that…

Promises of God are Dependable

Now before I go into this topic, I’d like to remind you that “some” promises of God are “Conditional”, as in if you do this, God will do that. But…! To give you a few that I have leaned on is:

Psalm 91:11 mentions, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways”. It’s in the midst of troubles that you need guarding and guidance, first. Most often, if there is no trouble, no reason arises for high levels of Divine protection to take place although it’s still there at lower indiscernible levels. This is something that’s been apparent to me from the very beginning of some of what I’ve experienced.

Another, is; “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”, as per Proverbs 23:18.  Not too long ago, I was coaching someone on how to build trust. One example I used was that trustworthiness is built by doing what you say you will do, consistently. This is how I’ve learned God is. He makes us promises, gives us hope, but because God often does complex things in our lives, they don’t always come to pass quickly. How I’ve held to the Hope He gives, how, like King David once said, His promises preserves my life, is that God unfolds some of His promises gradually wherein, if paying attention, you can see it coming to pass in drips and drabs where necessary; maybe slow going but definitely growing into fruition. Numbers 23:19, tells us that “God is not a man; He will not lie. God is not a human being; His decisions will not change. If He says He will do something, then He will do it. If He makes a promise, then He will do what He promised.” For, The Lord knows reneging on His promises would make Him foolish in that He would never be able to get anyone to trust Him if He never does what He says He’s going to do. Foolish He’s not, but a Holy Spirit that emits Wisdom! Along with what’s helped even these mentioned elements become parts to building and sustaining my faith is to…

Maintain a Genuine Healthy Relationship with God

Here’s what’s important know… when you don’t know God, it’s easy to get duped by the trickery manipulation and deceptions of the world, for example, in thinking God promised something or someone He didn’t. OR… believe it or not, trying to convince you that God DID NOT promise that person or thing.  This is why my relationship with God, who I’ve learned over the years is a bi-directional communicative God, has kept me guided in the light, in right directions; saying no to what would bring harm, and yes, to what doesn’t, and pausing at what I’m not sure about. Having this kind of relationship with Him helps us to know His voice, which embodies His character, so we don’t get misled by counterfeits. “Counter”-“Fits”: may look real, the crumple rustle of the hustle may sound real, but when you look and listen closely, they “counter”, as in Oppose, much of what and who is the Real God, not a good “Fit” for His character. I discuss why we should, and how to get to know the Christian God in more depth in my (Pod)Casting Potential Episode 11: 4 Ways to Start or Improve Hearing the Voice of God. On this episode’s page is a companion checklist that I encourage you to download to guide you through the process of getting to know God better.

There are so many other goodies that I could share that keep faith strong in times where you may be most vulnerable, but these are a great start in building your own faith! Maintain a genuine healthy relationship with The Lord, where you get to know how He fashions His likes dislikes and promises, as well as learn patterns of how He responds to events in our lives, similar to how He’s done for others in the past. For, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, what He did before, in a similar context He’ll do it again; what He’s done for several few, when fitting, He’ll do for you, too!

From the Mouths of Babes, a Cry for Gun-Control for a Safer Society

Unlike many, I have to say, I actually enjoyed my high school years. Admittedly, though, maybe a little more than my grammar and middle school years where I did experience a little taunting and teasing from other children. My high school stint was an adventurous time of discovery, yet uneventful aside from a bit of a struggle with algebra. It was a time that, if for some reason only known to God, I had to do again, I’d do it.  Of course, I’d wonder why, but I’d do it, especially if I knew it’d turn out the same or better.  My freshmen and sophomore years were filled, first and foremost, with studies.  We had several chaperoned school dances. One dance that particularly stands out to me still today is the one that was based in the 1950’s, and I attended dressed in a white poodle skirt and bobby-socks from that era.  My junior and senior proms were a wholesome blast.  My best friend, with whom I’m still friends with today more than 30 years later was a band member, and so I remember going to many sports games at which she played music with the band. It was, for me a very exciting and exploratory time in my life. I never went to school feeling unsafe. I never went to school wondering if I would make it home. I never went to school thinking of ways I could dodge a bullet, rather than a ball in Phys. Ed.

It raises in me feelings of both ache and admiration for the children we see today standing up and, mostly peacefully, fighting to deservingly experience a time in school similar to mine. From the mouths of these babes, comes a valid cry for a society in which the dangers of guns are no longer a daily haunting threat. Their cry for safety isn’t selfish.  Their righteous indignation isn’t childish. Their shout for change isn’t unrealistic.  It’s human survival at the most basic level.  Do we ignore them because they are young? Are we supposed to placate them with what doesn’t actually help, simply to “appear” attentive? Or, is it just a hope they’ll get bored with the effort and seek something else to do to occupy their time?  I think too often the voices of children aren’t heard, when in fact many have an unadulterated view of how things can truly be. For, it was once mentioned by Jesus, that out of the mouth of babes comes perfected praise.  He also mentioned the importance of having childlike faith so to be able to live a life of goodness, peace, and joy.

As children, most receive parental or guardian provision & protection. And, in healthy environments, they grow into their own healthy personal power. Thus, these are areas that most children don’t need to worry about in that they don’t need to explicitly seek to achieve these things for themselves. That is… unless there’s a severe deficit somewhere in which they reach for guns because they need to feel safe, to increase resources, and/or because they feel insignificant, or powerless. Considering the dire need for their right to attend school again in a mood that is festive and not fearful, there’s something we can learn from these children, as we take time to reflect on their request. How would granting them, what they so admirably strive for, a shift of faith that would remove unnecessary dependency so commonly placed on guns?

Ponder on what society can be if, those who felt a passion to create or sell them, only offer their creativity in the arts of artillery strictly to law enforcement and the military.  Perhaps it could spur civilians to seek and find the protection and security, they feel guns give them, in a way that renders serenity for all.  In order for anyone to feel a sense of significance, they need to be heard.  Thus, maybe, something as simple as listening to the voices, of those who feel that just a display of a gun speaks the loudest, can increase their belief that they truly do have some say in the world. Additionally, if we, sincerely listen to these children’s cry, and approach acting on what we hear in an empirical and impactful manner, how much more goodness and joy could be returned to all of us, but most importantly, to those who we deem as our future?
