Try Just 4 Things, Consistently, When It Feels Like God’s Not Hearing You

Through the storms of life.
Through the winds and rains.
Through the confusion and strife.
Through the floods of pain.
Through the stripping away of all that you knew.
You’re left wondering what to do.
It almost feels like it’s more than you can bear.
But know it’s not, because despite, what it looks like,
God is still there.

Like David in Psalms 22:1, you wonder “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” But, I want to encourage you, that despite the chaotic sounds of the happenings around you that can make it quite difficult to hear that still small voice which indicates the presence of The Lord, He is still there. Whether it was a literal storm, the whirlwind battle with illness, a bitter cold fall out with a partner or family member, God is there. According to Psalm 139:7,9 MSG “Is there any place I can go to avoid Your Spirit? to be out of Your sight? If I climb to the sky, You’re there! If I go underground, You’re there!” Beloved, there’s no getting away from Him! You are not alone! God is there!

Yes, you’re tired. Tired of feeling abandoned. Tired of feeling too helpless to do what needs to be done. Tired of being misunderstood. This, however, is the very time to forget and forgive the people who disappointed you, never give up on life, but instead look up to God. So, I’d like to offer you a few tips on looking up to God, a little differently than how you may have been doing so up to now. You may have been crying out to Him, and not hearing Him, but here’s the thing… you haven’t been able to hear Him through the screams of fear, nor see Him through the streams of tears. Yet, God is there. And, once you receive His peace that only He can give, quieting the storms within you, He will L.I.F.T. you up. The first thing you can do is allow yourself to…

Let it All Out

Yes, He already knows everything about you, how you feel, what you think, and the words you will say before they cross your lips. Regardless of Him knowing everything, just let it out. Know that because He knows everything that He already has the comfort, healing, strategies, and solutions you need in your situation. All of the things that He will reveal to you in due time. Express your hurt & pain, the raw vulnerable sensitivities of your heart. Respectfully let Him know what you’re feeling. Tell Him why you think you feel it. Ask Him for what you think you need. Let the pressure that’s building within you out in that safe place with just you and Him. He wants to hear you, so God is there. And, then you’ll be relieved to rest quietly in His presence as you…

Invite Him Near

James 4:8 says, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you…” Beloved, it’s ok to admit to God that you need Him. There’s nothing wrong with asking Him to come near, not just to solve your situation, but to help you to feel His presence. Now, you may be wondering that if He’s really already there, why do you have to ask Him to come near? Because God is like a watchful parent, who watches their children when they aren’t even noticing. The children are off doing their own thing, and have yet to take a break to talk to The Father. Sometimes we can look and see that our parent is at the window looking out at us, but we are either too far or too distracted by the noise of what we are immersed in, to hear what the parent has to say. Drawing closer to Him will help you to experience God’s presence that you know is there, but can’t seem to currently feel.

A time may come when you have no idea what to say to “let it all out.” That’s ok too. For Romans 8:26,27 reminds us that “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” This is a blessed benefit of being in the presence of God. That even when you have no idea what to say, maybe you have no idea why you feel the way you do, the Holy Spirit can stand in the gap for you until you reach a new level of clarity in your heart. He will give you strength and strategy; restoration and resolution; and empowerment for endurance. Ask Him to let you experience His presence, since God is there. It also helps to bless The Lord at all times, including the tough ones, when you…

Fascinate in His Glory

Circumstances good and bad, come and go. They change with the shifting winds. They are up and then down. They are stable and then chaotic. God, on the other hand, is a steady Rock. James 1:17 tells us that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.” The presence of God is a gift that embodies gifts! And, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What this means is that despite the bitterness of our experiences, it’s possible to still praise the sweetness of The Lord; acknowledging Him for who He is, what He’s done, and what He can do. Because what you go through doesn’t and can’t change how wonderful and awesome the keeper of our souls truly is. Seeds are planted to reap a harvest of joy when you proclaim His name to others, but this is also so when no one else is around to give you renown. Thank Him for being with you, because God is there. Because when you truly worship The Lord, it’s never in what have you done for me lately, but it’s simply trusting in Him with sincere acts to…

Trace His Goodness

There’s a popular phrase that says “Trust God when you can’t trace Him.” I would like to give you a shift in perspective, however, that will help you to always trace Him. To trace someone is, not just to follow where they are going, but to also see where they have been. Beloved, God has left an impeccably impressive trail of His good works that He’s done for others! Many in His Word, The Bible, but also in the testimonies of some others around you. Many will be in the past. Some may be recent things God’s doing for others. They can remind you of how good and faithful God is, and not just for them, but for you too! Remember His faithfulness, because God is there.

Whatever it is you are going through. Whatever has you feeling let down. God can L.I.F.T. you up. Let it all out, bearing your heart to Him. Invite Him near and His presence will calm your fears, and incrementally turn your sorrows into Joyful tears. Fascinate in His Glory with praise and worship, because God is good all the time and all the time God is good. And, you will see this as you continually Trace His Goodness. The more you do this, beloved, the more you’ll begin to recognize and experience His hand of favor upon your life, even during trials. The more you will trust Him. The more you will realize that He is true and faithful to His Word where He says in Hebrews 13:5, “…Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Then you will be able to say, as stated in Hebrews 13:6 “…with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid…” Because, you are not alone, beloved! God is there!

May The Father, who loves you more than you can ever imagine, help you to sense His love that is so high and so wide around you. May you embrace within your heart that His love is a love that “… neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate [you] from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38,39) I pray that The Lord gives you His peace that surpasses all understanding, and will guard your heart and mind in Jesus so that you will gain and maintain a mind and heart of Christ no matter the happenings around you, helping you to overcome every challenge in your path. May He LIFT you up in the lightness of His Spirit, inspiring you to say on each new day in which His mercies are new, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalm 23:6)

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Warning! Overwhelming Joy Gained with Just a Few Things!

Joyful ReunionA woman I know, made some decisions in her young years that proved to be regretful. She had two abortions in the span of her 20’s. They were decisions she felt, at the times, were right. After all, they were allowed by the law of the land, yet it wasn’t easy for her to do. Regret hid under layers of achievements, smiles, and outer adornment. Later, it could hide no longer as it hit her even harder when she realized the reality of having made those decisions from God’s perspective. I remember her story well, how one day while going home from an appointment, on a warm sunny summer afternoon. The conviction of her actions hit her like a ton of bricks. Tears covered her face beneath her eyes. Her body began to heave as she sobbed, so much so she had to pull over to maintain control of her vehicle while her uncontrollable weeping to took over.

A man, who got fed up with years of mistreatment and abuse, took matters into his own hands and lost nearly two decades of his life as a result, and now needs to rebuild his life, his relationships, and his confidence.

Someone else made some risky decisions as a stock broker and experienced, what he saw as a catastrophic loss, that caused self-resentment and fear that he’d lose a lot more.

And, your story is…?

Despite what it is, trust, you are not alone. We all have one, maybe more. As a matter of fact, Romans 3:23 states that “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”  And, unfortunately, there’s no running away from the fact that what was done was done; that what was said was said; or that the accident/incident happened. Be it 30 minutes ago, 30 months ago, or 30 years ago, you have carried around a regretful heart full of sorrow that has, in your eyes, grayed out all of your tomorrows, because…

What do you do when something you’ve done can’t be undone?

What do you do when something has gone wrong and it can no longer be made right?

What do you do when something was said knowing words can never be unsaid?

There’s a few things you can do. They will begin to position you to receive, as Isaiah 61:3 says, all The Lord promised to His children, which is to “…provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”  It all starts as you…

Embrace Everlasting Love

Understand that no matter how bad you think it was, God loves you with an everlasting love. A love He will never take away from you. Though it has seemed to elude you, joy is still in reach for you. It sits at your step waiting for you to take it in. This gift has engraved on it something for you to remind yourself of daily in saying, Psalm 27:13 “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Because He wants you to share in His happiness. Isaiah 30:18 ERV states that “…the Lord is waiting to show his mercy to you. He wants to rise and comfort you. The Lord is the God who does the right thing, so he will bless everyone who waits for his help.”

You can embrace His love by spending time with Him, and embodying all the good things He says about you. And, emboldening yourself with how He chooses to shape, mold, and grow you. It’s important, however, to not be timid in approaching the Throne of Grace because of regrets of past deeds. One thing that helps with releasing the uneasiness to pray is to know that…

Conviction Does Not Equal Condemnation

You see, all too often, many of us can’t forgive ourselves for past failues that we’ve already asked God’s forgiveness for and yet have not continued to make. It’s because we fall into the trap of ungodly condemnation. Feelings of regret from past actions, despite how long ago, can come from two places, Holy Spirit conviction, or condemnation, sometimes interchanged with judgment, which sources from either the Holy Spirit, a misconstrued perspective of what’s right and wrong, or from demonic influences. Understanding the difference will help you to better discern where and why guilt arises, even if you’ve already confessed and repented according to the Will of The Lord. And, it will give you a gage to evaluate what you can use to allow  yourself to grow and what you can ignore and throw away.

Regarding Conviction, as John 16:8 ESV reminds us, the Holy Spirit comes to “…convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment”. And, this is, of course, in addition to all the other wonderful things that He comes to do for us with His comfort, defense, and power. To convict, according to the Biblical Greek meaning is to reprove, rebuke (which are both akin to reprimand) and to admonish (which is to warn) in regards to a person having done, or the propensity to do, something wrong. Revelation 3:19 MSG says “The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!” I absolutely love that it says …so that they’ll live at their best! Yes, as with a natural parent, He may have chided you, but He does so out of love because He wants you to be your best self; to come into all He’s made you to be. That chiding causes, what I call “good” guilt. The kind that makes you aware that what you’re about to do, or what was done or said, is wrong. That is very helpful, for example, when we have a thorn in our sides that we struggle with but don’t want to keep falling into. So, the Holy Spirit will sometimes send a word of conviction as a warning to give you a chance to decide to take the way out of what tempts you. Or, to give you a chance to confess and change towards more favorable actions.

On the other hand, Condemnation/Judgment is a final decision, a judgment, about a person based on what that person has been perceived as doing. God condemns or judge those who have deliberately decided to live in sin, despite knowing or having heard about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet rejects Him. Thus, trampling the Son of God under their feet as said according to Hebrews 10:29. But, if there is anyone you know who has taken this stance, don’t give up on them. Encourage them not to give up on seeing and living life God’s way. There’s still time for better decisions to be made. For 2 Peter 3:9 NIV, says that “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” This is part of His Gift of Grace that is available. The only thing needed is to ask and receive. Below, towards the end of the post, is a prayer that can lead you to that opportunity. Please share or retweet this article to give the Gift of God’s Grace to whoever needs it. God will certainly bless you for it!

The devil, however, who comes to kill your faith, steal your joy, and destroy your destiny will use condemnation as one of his tactics in attempts to complete those very assignments. An example we can clearly see where the enemy tried to do this is in Jesus’ trial and condemnation to be crucified. The enemy led people to wrongly condemn Jesus, but Jesus was not “convicted” in His Spirit by His Spirit as doing anything wrong because He had done nothing wrong. It is here where many of us get stuck in not forgiving ourselves because the enemy will wrongly cause you to feel condemned for either what you never did or what you already repented for and don’t do. Unfortunately, sometimes our own understanding of what is okay and not okay with God can play a part in the enemy’s making us regret things we should not feel guilty about. For instance, we sometimes feel guilty about what other people actually did wrong to us. It’s a form of false and misplaced guilt. This happens because we begin to believe his lies instead of believing the truths of God.

Hopefully, this has given you a clearer perspective on conviction versus condemnation, and helps you to accept that…

You Deserve Forgiveness, Even Your Own

Past memories have relentless ways of keeping the past in our present that causes us to judge ourselves out of our future. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate who stands for us and stands with us helping us to remember what Jesus taught us about His forgiveness and the freedom it has granted us. As we are reminded in Romans 8:1,4 ESV, that “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus… in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” So, when you begin to hear the nagging accusations remember that despite what you may think, you are worthy of forgiveness. Zechariah 3:1,3,4 shows us that what God thinks, is superior over what anyone else thinks in telling us that “The angel showed me Joshua the high priest, standing in front of the angel of the Lord and Satan was standing by Joshua’s right side. Satan was there to accuse Joshua of doing wrong. Joshua was wearing a dirty robe as he stood in front of the angel. Then the angel said to the other angels standing near him, ‘Take those dirty clothes off Joshua.’ Then the angel spoke to Joshua. He said, ‘Now, I have taken away your guilt, and I am giving you a new change of clothes.’”

Joshua didn’t fight the angels of The Lord, saying he doesn’t deserve to be happy. He didn’t look at the blessing in front of him and question “Why would God do this for me after all the wrong I’ve done?” He didn’t say, “No! Don’t put new clothes on me! I’m only going to dirty them again!” He simply received the Gift of Grace. He humbly accepted a new chance to do things differently. Despite what you’ve done, you can do things differently because…

Mistakes Allow for Better Remakes

Mistakes don’t make you stupid, they can make you smarter and stronger, if you let them. The woman in the opening story, as mentioned, originally thought she had made the right decisions, only to later find they weren’t right in God’s eyes. As she went further along in her story, her encounter with God proved to be a comforting one. Comforting in God’s unlimited understanding of the reasons behind, while not condoning, her actions at the time. In addition, The Lord began helping her to understand ways to make wiser decisions later. She knows now what she did not know then. And that makes her smarter and stronger. This understanding and guidance is available to you too. You may not be able to use it to correct what happened, but consider these:

  • Let God use you
In having taken responsibility for your part in the mishap, how can what you learned to do or not to do help keep someone else from making the same missteps?
  • Let It Transform You
What options, in line with the Will of God, are available to you to consistently do differently this time, to prevent what happened before?

You are not still here to allow your life to sink into the abyss of where the past lives. God’s giving you new mercies every morning to begin to restore and revive your life. It’s as close as you deciding to…

Claim Your Gift of Grace

You have mourned your mistake(s) long enough. According to Ecclesiastes 3:4, There’s “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;” As you read this message, know that your time to weep and mourn has reached its pivot point to now begin to become a time for you to laugh and dance. And, Psalm 126:6 “Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” Believe, beloved of God, the tears you’ve sown, in the Mighty Hands of God, can start to bring forth a harvest of joy!

It’s yours to take, beloved.

Will you take it? Allowing yourself to, first, embrace everlasting love from The Father. Second, build yourself by using the understanding the differences between Holy Spirit conviction and demonic condemnation to evaluate what to pay attention to and what to ignore. Third, believe that you deserve God’s forgiveness, as well as your own. Fourth, reconstruct your life, adding meaning by allowing God to transform your mistakes to remake them into something beautiful. And, fifth, LIVE, beloved! LIVE! By accepting the Gift of Grace, the Indescribable Gift that Jesus came and was crucified to provide. To do so, please pray the prayer in the included photo below.

Receive the Indescribable Gift of Grace

Father, thank You for the Gift of Grace that’s available because Your Son has Risen from the darkest depths of death to provide abundant everlasting life.

In this time of Your favor, I want to take this indescribable gift, and so, I confess from my heart with my mouth that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the One and Only True and Living God.  Jesus is Christ, The Messiah.  I believe with my heart that He died on the Cross for my sins, and was raised to life to raise life in me.  Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, live in me, help me to live in You and for You.  I hand the reigns of my life to You, Jesus, making You my Lord and Savior.  I repent of my sins, and so choose to turn away from all of that which displeases & grieves Your Holy Spirit.  Please forgive me for my sins.  And, help me when and wherever I am weak-willed, or strong in self-will, in thought or deed, to remain on the Way of Everlasting.

I bless You, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, for who You are and all that You are. Thank You for the healing, wholeness, and restoration, in my soul, spirit, and body that my becoming a New Creation in Christ, as a Child of God, will bring.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Amen.

No matter what you’ve done, remember God loves you! And, I love you with the love of God! As God longs to show you His compassion, I long to help you LIVE the abundant life Christ came to give to you. So, if you would like to explore claiming your gift of grace to reclaim your life on a more focused and detailed level, please Contact me for your complementary session.  I’ll be very excited to start working with you!

Post Election – Soothing for Sorrowful Souls

american-flag-faces436x245In the aftermath of our nation’s 2016 presidential election night and intertwined through the shouts of chanting cheers “let’s make America great again”, there are murmurs in the hearts of people saying, “what’s going to happen to America? What’s going to happen to us?”  These are questions many are asking, not only in the boundaries of our nation’s boarders, but also abroad. Some are in distress for feeling embarrassed that this choice was made by the American people. Disheartened and disenchanted from the illusion that has been blown away by the harsh winds of the campaign revealing the hidden sores of bigotry, hatred, division, and disrespect, it’s important and soothing to the sorrowful soul to understand that there is still hope.

In spite of truth revealed, we must not let our hearts trouble us.  Proverbs 29:25 states “fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” So, don’t go into self imposed exile into other countries, running away from what looks to be the worse outcome.  Let’s not deny the power of God that can exponentially strengthen us to do what we can, within our reach as citizens in our political system and in our daily lives. Let’s not forget to do what’s in His will to exemplify the love He represents to fight the spread of fury that threatens to rise. Let’s not live in apprehension about things we cannot control. For even in the event of the nations conspiring, raging, and plotting, they do so in vain as we look to God, who is enthroned on high. Even in the instance of nation rising against nation, we will prevail!

What it looks like is not what it is. God is up to something that will work together for the good, even when it seems the unthinkable has happened. Order, governmental guidance, and appropriate submission to authority is needed. We, as a people, however, have a voice in what our nation’s leaders do, and as a people of God, must keep the One who is Alpha and the Omega, first in all we do, letting Him have the last say in situations where we are unable to do anything. For, as stated in Psalm 33:12; “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.” God is a God of unity. He will not stand for division.

In 1 Corinthians 3, we see how God addresses through the Apostle Paul how the fights due to preferring one leader of the church over others was causing division amongst the people. To keep the story short, they were being told that each leader has their purpose, and though some are artificial and superficial and cause division within the church, there will be fitting consequences.  And, ultimately, it is God who causes increase in areas of growth in the church.  Though many think that the church is limited to buildings, the church actually is the people who make up the Body of Christ within the nations. Whether we all go to one church building or several around the world, we are “one united” in the Body of Christ. Trust that due to it being God’s Will for us all to be one in unity, He will protect us from worsened incarceration, forms of segregation, heartless deportation, civil & national confrontation, and other deeds that disrupts the togetherness of us as a people; a people in which God shows no favoritism because He loves us all.

So, concern yourself not to the point of distress and restlessness about the leader we should have had and the leader we now have.  For, in the beginning, there was darkness.  In the beginning, there was only deep waters. Yet, in the beginning our Creator spoke forth light and land.  When He speaks, He makes things happen. Thus, He can even overturn plans and decisions of nations. The Lord can reverse any curse. Therefore, take heart, Child of God. You are chosen. Let Christ remain in you, you in Him, allowing His peace to reign. His Word will not return void, as in Psalm 33:18,20; “The Lord watches over His followers… He helps us and protects us.”  Regardless of whose hands America seems to be in, you are still in God’s Good Hands.  You are covered.

It’s a Shift Made Room For Right

At times it seems the most difficult to recover from a broken heart as we are still staring at the broken pieces.  It’s only when we choose to look up and peer beyond them that we can see any hope to climb up and over the heap.  Now is that time!  The broken pieces of your heart is no longer at your feet or in your hands.  God has taken over and is ready to do the mending, if you let Him.

Forgive those who left you in your deepest time of need. It was a light shed upon the truth of their nature of choice which made room for another or others who can deliver on genuine faithfulness, love, & loyalty.   And, though it may seem as if life has fallen or is falling apart, it’s simply getting started to come together.  For, if God allowed you to come to it & He is going to bring you through it, because He has brought you too far to leave you now.  Get into your heart, into your spirit, that though they disappointed you, they could not stop you from moving forward, onward, upward, towards your destiny!  Activate your healing as you humble yourself before God, hold on to The Rock, staying prayerful and faithful, never being afraid to…

“… approach God’s throne of grace with Confidence, so that [you] may receive Mercy and find Grace to help [you] in [your] time of [ANY] need.” Hebrews 4:16 NIV

The spirit of heaviness is broken off of you now, as the Garment of Praise covers you, and a Joy washes over you because The Lord our God will never leave you, nor will He forsake you!  And, Yes, He hears your prayers! So, even if you haven’t yet seen how, believe it’s all working together for your good!  Greater is coming!  Walk in expectancy!

Prayer: Comfort and Healing for Charleston SC

Someday the World will Oporate covered in a Colorblind Love436x245

Though it’s happening slower than we thought in light of some recent racially divided events, let us dare to believe that in the Oneness of God, the world will someday soon operate under a covering of colorblind love. We are all people. We all contain red blood. We all require oxygen. We all need love.

Lord, Jehovah Raphe, God our Healer, the families, the congregation, and the fellow residents of Charleston SC, of those lost and hurt in the tragic incident at Emanuel AME church, from the depths of their souls are crying out to You, who reaches out from the depths of Your powerful love to the depths of their pain. As they reach out to You for help, may they strongly sense and know that You hear their cries! Lord, thank You for being close to the brokenhearted and saving those crushed in spirit. May each and every one who were affected by this tragedy exponentially feel Your comfort in their sorrow; Your peace, that only You can give Lord Jesus, in the midst of chaos; and most of all may they experience Your love that reaches endlessly high and low, and everlastingly wide from side to side, as they stand in the face of hate. We ask, Father God, that Your Righteous Right Hand hold them up in spite of their weary hearts, transforming their grief to joy as they are healed. Strengthen them Lord, so they can just stand in this darkness of evil that has touched their lives so intimately. May You be their Strong Tower, their refuge, as they go forward in their healing process; keeping them safe from further hurt, harm, or danger.

Thank You, Almighty and Sovereign God. We leave everything in Your capable and loving hands.

In Jesus’ Name.

Amen.

Prayer for Our Spiritual Leaders

praying togetherThe Lord impressed upon me this morning to write out this prayer, as well as to pray it, for our spiritual leaders who bear, like the Old Testament priests who wore heavy priestly garments adorned with stones upon the shoulders representing, the burdens of their people. Often we fail to remember our leaders in prayer. However, our pastors, priests, teachers, prophets, apostles, intercessors, elders, deacons, ministers of music, etc. bear their own personal burdens that many others aren’t privy to, and so they too need to be covered. The Lord Jesus’ power is more than enough but we are called to encourage and intercede for each other, because regardless of the hierarchical placement of our positions, we are all still… simply human.

So, in the spirit of unity and power of prayer in agreement, I ask you, at the sight of my words and ongoing, join me in this prayer for every man and woman of God in Jesus Christ, who’s been chosen to oversee our spiritual health and well-being.

Jehovah Tsidkenu, God our Righteousness; Jehovah Raphe, God our Healer,

We look unto you this day for guidance and strength for each and every spiritual leader you have placed over our lives. There is a weariness setting in that we dismantle, dispel, and disengage at this very moment! For they shall walk and not faint, they shall run and not stumble! We stand with You, and in obedience to You, Lord Jesus, in lifting up our leaders. We ask You, Oh Sovereign Lord, to send more Holy Spirit filled and led people to uphold their arms, as did Aaron and Hur for Moses, as our pastors and leaders fight in the spirit for all of us, helping us to claim the victory You’ve already won! By the power and authority You give us Lord Jesus, we stomp on the head of the spirit heaviness; trample any spirits of despair and cancel assignments of suicide! We come against any hexes, vexes, witchcraft & curses sent out against them! We call forth the strength in them that they can only get from You, Lord, our Strong Tower! We call forth unto them the garment of lasting and genuine praise from the belly of their souls! We call forth in Your leaders, Father God, the mind of Christ! We call forth in them new fresh vision and revelation that maintains restraint, invokes healing, and ushers in restored life for them as well as for the remnants you’ve placed under their auspices! May Your chosen ones, Oh God, the shepherds of Your sheep be covered by the Blood of Jesus; surrounded by Your consuming fire that will burn up any demonic attacks against them or their families, for no weapon formed against them shall be able to prosper!

We give You all the glory right now Magnificent & Mighty God! You deserve all the honor for what is already declared and decreed by the breath of Your mouth and therefore it is finished! It shall manifest in the natural, for Your Word, Oh Lord, shall not return void!

In Jesus’, our Lord and Savior, Great and Holy Name.

Amen!

CROSSed the Gap

Cross bridgeIf you are a strategic planner, analytical thinker; one who may have even been called a nerd or geek at some point in your life, revel in the fact that you have been given some very awesome gifts from our Heavenly Father! These are character traits that though sometimes laughed at, are inherited from on High. Thinking back to what we read in Genesis, after Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden after being deceived by the devil, there was a breach. A rift between us and God. A separation, a void… a Gap. Glory be to God for His planning and strategic actions to bring about Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who CROSSed the gap, providing an everlasting unshakable bridge, illuminated by the Light of His Word. It’s a walk Way that, not only mends the perforation that kept us from directly communing with God, but it also carries us over many unforeseen, uncertain, and not yet completed events. For centuries, it’s been helping us to keep from falling into a dark abyss; enabling us to walk forward into the hopeful future ahead!

CROSSed the Gap between the Forest and the Trees

Part of that plan was the excruciatingly painful event of Christ’s death on the CROSS. A day full of sorrow disappointment and loneliness. Yet, from the moment our Lord and Savior uttered the words, “…’It is finished.’…”, in John 19:30, it became a day of celebration, though… at that very moment no one realized it. It is a prime example of something that looks and feels crushing, being something that is actually very, very, good.  It was part of the process of bringing us all back into the ability to have a relationship with Him, providing a Way to restoration of all stolen and lost.

There’s a saying that goes; “…can’t see the forest for the trees.” When we are in the thick of things, lost in the heart of the forest, we sometimes can’t find our way out to the other side. Engrossed in the deluge of details, distracted by the urgent, buried by the burdens, it becomes a time where we can begin to also lose heart. The only things that can be noticed is the trouble, the pain, and worry of how it’s all going to affect tomorrow. This is how those who stood with Jesus felt right after what they thought was the end happened. Jesus had been crucified, and their hope was lost. They wept at what they thought was the demise of the new kingdom and deliverer according to their view of what that was all about. And, now its possibility was gone, it perished with Him on the cross. A huge rupture had opened and swallowed any real chances for a good, much less a great, future. What were they going to do now? There was a gap in their perception, because being on the ground, all they could see where the tree trunks. Even if they looked up all they could see were the looming branches and leaves, shutting out the Son. But, Christ who sits on High, and looks down on it all from an aerial view, saw the whole forest. He knew as part of the Father’s entire plan for His life, He’d rise again, and the saga would continue with a triumphant and victorious end.

“I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (GWT)

Something to remember that even as you may be in a dark place, and you can’t see anything but dirt, the walls blocking you in, and everything that is going bad makes you want to say “this stinks!”, know that God has a greater plan. Hebrews 4:15 says, “This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” He knows how you feel no matter what kind of bind you may find yourself in. After Christ’s death, He experienced such, at the time He was in darkness for three days, but He, being God, knew that He would not stay there, He would rise again! This is one way Christ CROSSed the Gap for you!

“…as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived– these things God has prepared for those who love Him’– ” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (TNIV). That being said, you aren’t able to see the entire plan for your life, or the exact time God will resurrect all you thought lost, but believe that Christ, being with you every minute and every second, knows it all. When the time comes, He will open the eyes of your heart helping you to see the CROSSing that will lead you out of the valley.

Even through the pouring out of tears or the void felt after they’ve all been shed, He can restore your joy and peace. Despite your age, no matter how close the point of cutoff for something you’ve wanted may be, it is not too late for Him to move on your behalf. God’s move may not be in a direction or in a manner you thought He might do it in, but nothing is hopeless.

We see an unexpected move Jesus made in John 11:1-44. He allowed one road close and opened another. Mary and Martha came seeking Him to help their sick brother Lazarus in the only way they could see, which was to heal him of his illness. But Jesus had other plans for them, so the sisters went back to care for their brother, and their view of the road they thought would take them over the gap of sickness was no longer there. The space between where Lazarus was and his getting well was so large they could no longer see the other side of the gap. As far as they were concerned, all hope for good to come out of this was gone. Little did they know, Jesus had a different pathway available and open for them; a way to resolve their problem that they never saw. He raised for Lazarus a new CROSSing into living again!

There may be something you’ve put to rest, thinking there’s no other way. You’ve given up on taking any steps because if there is no solid footing on which to step to get to the seemingly non-existing side of nothingness. So what’s the point, right? Well… the point is, there is life on the other side of the gap. It’s time to seek what alternative routes Jesus has prepared for you to take. For just as in Luke 1:43, Jesus “…cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’”, He is telling you to Get Up! Move Forward! And, trust that He’ll remove the blind folds and show you the way.

A lesson to learn from Mary’s and Martha’s way of thinking is to never limit God to only what you know could close the separation between where you are and where you need to be. Remember, He’s looking down on the entirety of the maze of your life, while you can only see the hedges of the part of the maze you are currently in. Seek Him for direction because He’s already made another way, and you and what you thought was lost will be resurrected and rise again to enter a new season of your life!

CROSSed the Gap with Grace

I encourage you, as The Lord begins to show you the alternative Way, declare and decree that you will not be held back by fissures you may see in your ability to move forward. The Father sending His Son to die on the CROSS for us was a gift no human deserved. “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NIV) We were saved by grace, out of His kindness, everlasting love for us and His desire to be near us that He gave His only begotten Son.  Knowing all things about you, despite what you may think is the worst in you, our Father sees all the best that He’s placed in you.  So, Christ also CROSSed the gap of past mistakes! They cannot hold you back! When you accepted Him into your heart, renounced what was done, all those things died on the CROSS with Him, but did not rise with Him. What was risen was a Living God who sent His Spirit to help you through any kind of weakness you may see as a disparity between where you are now and where you desire to be, as He tells us in His Word in John 16:7; “‘But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.’”  His Holy Spirit is now with you forever.  Therefore, be encouraged that it is not by your own perfection strength intellect or abilities that you will be delivered. It is by God’s grace that makes way for His Power to work in you. It is His grace that CROSSed the gaps of all you cannot do on your own.  With Him, you can do it!

If you’ve never given your life to Christ or you feel you’ve wandered too far away from His way of living, pray the following…

Prayer that CROSSes the Gap into a New Life

Lord Jesus, I’ve been sitting on this side of the gap much too long without you. I seek You, Lord, believing You are the Son of the One and Only Living God, and ask You to come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.  Please forgive anything I’ve done that was displeasing to You, and help me to begin walking aCROSS all that tries holds me back from You and all You have planned for me.  Thank You, Lord for Your love grace and mercy.

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Prayer to Walk aCROSS the Gap

Father God, thank You for Your incredible gift of grace and life! Thank You for providing a Way back to You!  Though I cannot see pass all that separates me from my hopeful future, I know You have made a way for me by having CROSSed the gap. I give all my burdens worries and concerns over to You, Lord, and trust that You will show me the Way. Please enlighten the eyes of my heart to see each step You’ve planned for me. Help me to overcome any unbelief and to rest assured that I can do all things through You, Christ Jesus, who strengthens me because Your grace is sufficient in all my weaknesses.

Through Your Powerful and Loving Name, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
